At Compassion Christian Center, we are very excited at what God is starting in our Children's Church department. Our vision is to see children inspired, transformed, and renewed by the Word of God. In order to see this vision fulfilled, we are implementing new structure and organization into our program. Sunday Mornings we have Life Application Lessons, in which we take a Bible story or Bible verses and teach our kids how the Bible's lessons can be helpful in their lives. Wednesday nights we have Bible Basics, a special time where we teach fundamental Bible stories to help build our children's spiritual foundation.

Children learn in three ways: seeing, hearing, and doing. It is our goal to meet each child's learning styles in every Children's Church service. We use flannel boards, crafts, songs, and repetitive phrases to help in this process. We also take time for praise reports and prayer requests. It is important that children feel that they can voice their needs and excitements. This encourages future communication as they mature and their needs become more complex.

It is our goal that, through the Children's Ministry at Compassion Christian Center, children will become excited about Jesus -- that they might see the importance of having Him in their lives at all times and never forsake Him. May God richly bless their lives and the lives of the volunteers that make this possible.
